Katherine uses a holistic, functional and integrative approach in her practice. Her special interests include digestive health, chronic conditions, metabolic balance and food allergies. She also works with individuals in the areas of eating awareness, physical activity, relaxation and self-care. She loves to inspire her clients to find ways to use the unique foods that are going to nourish them. She is an enthusiastic cook and shares this with her clients.
Katherine is a nationally Certified Nutrition Specialist (Certification Board of Nutrition Specialists), a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Maryland and a ServSafe® food handler. She has extensive experience in meditation and yoga as well as training in Reiki energy healing and herbal medicine.
She holds a Masters degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, MD (formerly Tai Sophia Institute). She is an affiliated practitioner with the Translational Medicine Group in Bethesda, Md. where she sees patients with chronic conditions. Katherine is a member of the Advisory Council for Hawthorne University, an online institution for holistic health and education. Her education and clinical experience has informed her approach to nutrition, health and wellness.
